The Auberge is a superb family run hotel and restaurant in the centre of East Anglia. It is conveniently situated for visits to Cambridge, Newmarket, Norwich, Ipswich, the Norfolk Broads and other coastal towns.
The restaurant has been an AA rosette award winner for the past 10 years, and has now been an AA 2 rosette winner for the last 4 years. The menu changes daily in order to make use of the freshest, local ingredients. We serve two courses for 21.95 and three courses for £24.95. Oysters and champagne are our speciality, as well as seafood platters (which requires 24 hours notice).
The restaurant is closed Saturday lunches, and all day on Sundays and Mondays. Please book a table (if needed ) at the time of booking.
Please Note... The Restaurant is closed from 1st January 2009 and will be open again on 8th January 2009. (Breakfast will be served to guests staying with us.)

The family and the housekeeper who run The Bull Auberge couldn't have been more hospitable. The restaurant was superb, the atmosphere relaxed and the food excellent. The accommodation was exactly what we were hoping for - high quality, really comfortable and spotlessly clean. We are looking forward to trying out the new rooms when they are finished in the New Year.

Room was a bit dusty with stray cobwebs everywhere - fantastic bathroom but bedroom could have been made more sumptious with a couple of easy touches - eg lighten up the decor, put big fluffy pillows on that four poster bed. Dinner was fabulous, food and service was excellent. They did not supply break fast inclusive and we thought their breakfast costs were too much. we only wanted a very light breakfast after the fatastic meal the night before and were not willing to pay £9 each for tea and toast - re think breakfast, smarten up the rooms and this is a great place for a weekend away - we did enjoy it overall..

Truly exceptional! If I could give more than a 6 for the food I would, possibly some of the best I've ever tasted. Room was fantastic. A real pleasure from start to finish.
