Parking is an absolute impossibility if your vehicle is more taller than the height barriers on all the local car parks, the only place without a barrier is the hospital and they fine van's..... Hotel is very nice though, good setting, good bar, above average breakfast. Recommended |

I was offered a room in the Annex just a few yards down the street. The hotel has a problem with having no parking facilities and because there was an event at the castle I was unable to leave my car nearby. The first room I was offered was tatty but clean. The bed mattress was awaful and the TV didn't work. Due to noise from an adjoining room I was relocated to a family room which was much better equiped and more comfortable. The staff handled my complaint with great efficiency and politeness.Again the TV didnt work but the bed was fine. Breakfast was very ordinary fare. The cooked food was prepared well in advance and therefore dry, the croissants stale but the service was friendly. general impression was the the infrastrucure requires significnat investment. |
