The room has all the facilities that one can expect from a good hotel with a high star rating. The rooms are a bit small but extremely comfortable and everything that you need is provided - toiletries, tea, coffee and chocolate, milk, hair dryer, etc. We were impresed with the quality. Definitely our hotel of choice again when we next come to visit the family. (Too many children now to be able to put us up!)

Reception staff were fine however the restaurant staff were very slow and vague. On arrival at restaurant I was left standing for ages before someone directed me to a table etc..
The executive room was good as were the sporting and pool facilities.
Breakfasts are acceptable. Sunday dinner is a limited menu. Ie only snacks. No choice for veggies. Dinner during the rest of the week is what you expect from a cheap chain pub. At least you can view the swimming pool through the fish tanks in the dining room!

Absolute dire hotel! I picked this hotel due to the excellent deal on laterooms: executive room, free breakfast, free wifi and free use of the onsite gym for £70! Bargain I thought and I booked for the following day. After a hard days work and long drive I was looking forward to my exec room and comfy bed.
The check in staff seem bored and not very interested and they originally placed me in a double, not exec. When i questioned this I was moved into a smelly exec and I once again changed. The check in staff failed to tell me anything about the hotel or facilities and left me to ask all the questions regarding breakfast times, use of wifi and gym. I only received, at best, a few words from the 2 check in staff on the desk - c'mon girls give me a smile at least.
Failed to see the difference between a double and exec, bathroom is small and dirty, furniture is dated, lamps don't work, tv channels are fuzzy and the grouds are noisy. This is based on the 3 rooms I was placed in so I feel I got a fair insight into what the rest would be like. It reminded me of a student halls, no personal touches what so ever. Avoid.
Gym is very large and well equipped and I feel that the emphasis is placed on the gym and not hotel as it should be.
Bar menu and area is cosy if a little tacky in approach. Quality of food and variety is very good and prices are reasonable however it doesn't make up for the rest of the hotel, or should I say student halls, being dark and unwelcoming.
You pay your price, you take your chance! I would have not been as bothered if I paid £40 for an average room but considering I paid £70 for an executive room I felt a tad cheated.
