A very classic building - more like a stately home. Good rooms but can get very hot & stuffy mid summer (all 3 days of it!)
Food looked good quality but is not cheap as you would expect of a place like this. If on a budget eat before you arrive ore there are places within a 5 mile drive away.
Great for getting away from buisiness stress, or a romantic weekend away.

The Beamish appears to be focused on wedding receptions and other group functions and we stayed for a wedding. Unfortunately we had to leave after one night and before the wedding because of a serious family illness so did not experience all the facilities. We were still charged for both nights though!
The room, breakfast and general surroundings were very pleasant.

Easy to find using the directions given on hotels website. Staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Real value for money and I look forward to staying again.
