18th Century Country Inn providing excellent service on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Listed in Camra Good Beer Guide for the last 6 years. Great value food. Beer garden, Snooker Room, secure storage for bicycles. Great area for walking and touring the Yorkshire Dales. Friendly pub with well attended Quiz every Sunday. Popular with locals as well as visitors, many of whom return time after time. Free on-site car parking. Please note we do not always accept single night reservations for a Friday or Saturday night.

Very friendly staff, and very helpful, our meals in the restaurants where very nice and hot which is a bonus.

After a mix up over the booking which meant we were booked in for one night instead of two, the owner bent over backwards to try and put things right. He turned a very annoying situation into one which was very acceptable.

The Harts Head lived up to its reviews, and more, and is to be strongly recommended. Friendly staff, good food at very reasonable prices, a decent range of beers and a comfortable room--although our room was half a cottage. Just great!
