The Hotel Calypso is 10 minutes from the beach, 5 km. from Universal’s Port Aventura theme park, and 12 km. from Reus airport. There are 514 double rooms, all with full bathrooms, balconies, air- conditioning and telephones. The restaurant is buffet style and in the summer you can enjoy the open air "Al Fresco" restaurant. This hotel was just what we were looking for, clean, friendly and excellent value for money. We found the hotel staff very helpful when asking directions or travel timetables. The entertainment was superb, and even though we had no children we just loved their hour of entertainment too. We have no complaints whatsoever and would definetly book this hotel again. First Class.

Restaurant food was below standard, strange options (e.g. fried onion rings for breakfast). Hotel was too far from beach and salou.

B+B was really unbelievable value for money in low season (Feb) Attentive friendly staff and buffet meals service with enormous and varied breakfasts. The hotel was mostly occupied by organised Spanish senior citizens' tour groups for whom different entertainments were staged every night in the lounge bar and they are much better dancers than Brits, even wielding traditional castanets and fans! Because it was out of season only a few other restaurant venues were open but evening meals were available in the hotel at 11 euros a head for three courses and as much wine as one wished, a little unceremonious but excellent value.
