Greenbank Country House

Greenbank Country House is a lovely Victorian house is quietly situated in its own grounds in the heart of Borrowdale. From the elevated site there are magnificent views of the Valley and Derwentwater. It is three and a half miles south of Keswick. The rooms in the house are spacious and comfortable. All en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and clock radios. superior rooms have lake views and TV. Breakfast is full English or vegetarian.

Beautiful location. House is wonderfully decorated and kept to a high standard of repair and cleanliness. Breakfast was served quickly and was well cooked. Friendly and warm welcome received. Useful information on local places to dine. Would definately visit again.

Our only problem was finding the place, it is difficult when you are in an area you don't really know to look for something that has not got a full address

The hotel was clean and comfortable we had a downstairs superior room which was large and we still had the views. A good hotel to stay if you want to leave the car in the car park and walk the area. Not a huge choice of eating areas and those that are available rather expensive but bus stop allmost opposite easy access to Kesick allthough last bus around 9.oopm.

Lovely hotel. Owners very relaxed and friendly. Beautiful decor and stunning views. Enjoyed the breakfast, cooked to order. Would recommend this.
