Fern Hill Orchard is a friendly, family run B&B situated in the unique ancient township of Laugharne, whose many customs date back to the 12th century. 'Sleepy, timeless seatown on sandy fringes of Carmarthen Bay made famous by Dylan Thomas. Has changed little since his time.'The B&B is within a short walking distance of Dylan's Boat House, Laugharne Castle and the Estuary, there are a variety of restuarants close by, and Broadway Mansion and Hurst House are only a short drive away. Guests are welcome to use the sitting room and orchard garden, which backs onto a park.Refreshments are offered on arrival, a full Welsh breakfast is included in the price - why not try our local delicacy lava bread(seaweed)? Special dietry needs can be catered for with prior notice. Also we can pick you up from the local station £7 minimum each journey. Children are welcome, for really young children please bring your own travel cot. The twin room is suitable for children, 2-6 years £8.00 per child per night, 7-11 years £12.00 per child per night, 12 years + £30.00 per child per night. We have also been approved by Visit Wales for Walkers and Cyclists.

Quiet room. Cordial hosts with insights as to local doings and resources. Breakfast was hearty and well served.

The breakfast was fantastic...we didn't need to eat again until tea time. The warmth and friendliness we experienced was second to none. It was my birthday and got a cake! Certainly can't fault it and would deinitely recommend it to all my friends.

The welcome we received from Lorraine and Bob was outstanding. We needed a place to "get away from it all" for a couple of days, and this was perfect. Breakfast outstanding, especially Lorraine's Laver Bread special. The only reason we marked family friendly down was because of the spiral staircase. Everything else outstanding, will definitely consider it again.
