The room I stayed in was at the front of the hotel. The carpet looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Unfortunately, despite the window being left open all night and it being a damp / chilly evening the room was stifling hot. So hot that I slept on top of the bed all night and it was still too hot and I woke up with a muzzy head in the morning. The bathroom was clean and the tolietries were Penhaligon's which was good. The staff were extremely friendly - shame about the room temperature. |

Lovely to have free and secure parking in a part of Lincoln where it is notoriously difficult to find. Very nice 10-room hotel converted from an historic mediaeval hall. We stayed in room 10 which is on the ground floor - a lovely room although with a four poster bed and rather a lot of other furniture it seemed a little cramped, and the bathroom is a private one next door rather than ensuite. Being on the ground floor also meant a lot of noise as various guests and their friends came and went through the front door and corridor but thankfully this didn't happen late at night on this occasion. Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Would definitely book again. |
