For those of you who watch Hotel Inspector, this is a classic example of mixing family memorabelia and hotel necessities. Needs the Inspector to call and make some changes. In our room there was no where to put a cup once you had made a coffee , the kettle etc took up one bedside cabinet, so the alternative was to put in on the floor on a cream carpet as you sat on the settee, we also had to use the window cills as there was no other space to put anything. There was no lock on the window which faced the garden. I have stayed in much nicer rooms for the equivalent money charged. Having said that the owner is very helpful and will cook you anything requested within reason. Very easy going place to stay. |

We received a warm welcome from Faye. The bed and breakfast is in an imaginatively converted chapel. Our room was very comfortable, particularly the duvet and pillows (so soft!) Breakfast was freshly prepared using local organic veg and meat from the local butcher, together with a wide variety of cereals, fruit and yoghurt. The Mount Tabor is very central in Crich which itself is excellently placed for exploring the Peak District. A lucky find. |
