We only stayed here for 2 nights and spent most of the day out skiing. Had a fabulous time in the sun on the icy slopes but the hotel was a real let down. Positive comment would really only be about the food and the hotel decor. The negatives out-weigh everything. I knew the hotel was at the top end of the village and we could ski in and out but had thought the hotel provided a regular bus shuttle to the main square. The first night my young son had to walk back up the 2 km distance, when I complained that he had waited more than 20 minutes I was told that it was usual to wait longer! Only the second evening did they explain that you have to telephone to order the return pick up at any time of the day. When I telephoned at 8.30 pm I was told to phone back for an available pick up time. Taxis and other transport facilities were not available. With this kind of service location is an important factor against the hotel. I had other smaller complaints which really defeated the purpose of going to a 5 star hotel. The manager was apologetic and felt my complaints were justified but assured me that many people return annually. For me it was the worst serviced 5 star hotel I have ever been in. I really felt there was a shortage of staff generally. |
