I found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. Impressed by the attentiveness of dining rooom staff despite there being a wedding in progress. The dinner was excellent too.
The rooms need small details attended to ie the trouser press with the missing handle which means it will not close properly. The shower soap dish and toilet roll holder which collapse on touch. These have been cunningly balanced by room staff!
The room designer should return part of his/her fee. The bathromm mirror is recessed and in shadow with the result that shaving is tricky. A daft ommission.
Apart from the niggles, a very nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Nearly forgot...£8.85 for a bourbon and soda? Ouch!

A lovely hotel for a short stay, our room was in the courtyard rooms but was of a extremely genorous size with alot of nice additional touches. Staff frienly and helpful. Breakfast was to die forwith very attentative staff both mornings of our stay. Your selections of cereal is the only thing you have to help yourself to from the buffet, everything else is table service including your breakfast juices and the wonderfully 'Cooked Breakfast'. Ate in restuarant on 2nd night of stay and food was again wonderful. If hotel had Leisure complex on site this would rank as a top hotel. Very enjoyable stay and would certainly return. One couple we met had already extended their stay since arrival. Great value through laterooms for £150 for two night B&B. Only minor complaint would be reception staff noted we had booked through Laterooms on our arrival which made us feel we were staying 'On the Cheap' if you like.....

We did not eat at hotel as we were leaving quite early also Breakfast was additional £7.50 Room prices a wee bit confusing with some offering breakfast as part of deal.Through yourselves I had booked three bed room to ensure bigger room, i was presented with standard twin.
I spend circa 6 months in hotels and must add that hotel and its situation look lovely and very grand, however the annexe rooms are normal motel rooms suffering some traffic noise, close to reasonably busy town traffic lights with standing traffic

Plus points - Lovely room in the courtyard we had our 5yo daughter and an extra single bed was supplied
Absolutely fantastic meal in the restaurant - best we've tasted for a long time.
All staff were superb, esp serving staff in restaurant.
Minus points - Very small bathroom.
Minibar was locked (!!) - we had to request a key to be delivered. (As it happens, the minibar was NOT turned on, so no drinks were even refrigerated).
Poor selection of draught beer in bar.
No childrens menu available in the restaurant, meaning that a 5yo was charged approx £8 for a mini portion of chicken and chips, plus extra for ice-cream. However she did say it was the BEST chicken she'd ever tasted!
We will definitely stay again - superb value for money.
The minor things, whilst slightly annoying, did NOT spoil our stay
