We both had an excellent couple of nights in SH. A Spa that mixes trditional buildings with the state of the art facilities. The staff are there to tend to your every need although are not badgering you at every turn.
The Spa treatments, although slightly pricey, are outstanding......I have had the pleasure of numerous treatments around the world over the years and I have to admit that my relaxation massage and facial (120 mins/£120) was probably the very best that I have had......well done SH.

Despite booking one of the best rooms, this hotel was an absolute disappointment. Certainly not 5* standard (a good 4 at the most). Our room was tired and the furniture cheap and nastly. TV did'nt work, lights unfathomable. Spa was fab, but let down by the fact that many of the snail showers and jets in the hot tubs and jaccuzi's were'nt working. Food in the White Room was nothing to shout home about. Fail to see how it 's going to hold onto the michelin star - we've been to many other award winning restaurants where the food was by far better. My advice would be to go for the spa but give the hotel a miss. Hopefully the new management can sort out what is sadly a tatty round the edges hotel

Please pass onto Seaham Hall that the porter named Ken was extremely helpful and nothing was any bother to him he was in all a very friendly helpful person and should be recognised for his work.
