It's our third or fourth visit so we obviously like it.
It is homely rather than slick but it's informality is a plus point.
Breakfast is to die for and bar meals are excellent.
Rooms are comfortable but could be a couple of degrees warmer in cold weather.( difficult when you don't know what time your guests are arriving.
Personally I hate nescafe original so sachets of Gold Blend would be better in the rooms.
Lovely open fire in the bar gives it a very "country " feel.

Had an overnight stay following a wedding. Small double with en suite but comfortable enough when it had warmed up - heating was not on when we arrived and noticeaqbly cold in the entry to the bedroom block where the radiator hallway had been turned off (in mid-November !) . Breakfast was fine although early for a weekend - last orders at 09.00 and service had to be prompted. Good location for country walks etc.

I stayed in August so room heating was valved off. However it was pretty cold and heat would have helped. Rooms are very near the main road and Juggernoughts travel late and early. Bar is resonable with freindly staff.

Food in retaurant excellent, as was breakfast. Service excellent.
Staff friendly and room good.G iven a room change because oif an injury, before I arrived, to my leg to avaoid stairs.
Very good value for money.
