Ca' Bonvicini

The hotel was gorgeous and you were made to feel very welcome. Before our trip I had a few questions which were answered immediately. The hotel is really well placed with some nice restaurants nearby and only 5 mins for Rialto and 15 mins from St Marks Square, well placed. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to stay here.

The hotel is small and lovely with a welcoming atmosphere. Sabina, the hotel manager and one person on site staff, is very friendly, knowledgeable about Venice, and speaks English very well. She will even meet the water bus from the train station to take you to the hotel on your arrival which I recommend highly. From the train station we took the number 1 boat to S.SAE dock. From there the hotel is only a few minute walk. We also bought a 2 day pass for the water bus which allows you on and off access as you wish. REMEMBER to stamp your ticket on the first travel because if you get checked (which we never did) you will get a hefty fine.
The continental type breakfast is served in your room at the time you select. The warm fresh croisantshot coffee or hot chocolate, and good quality orange juice make for a lovely start to your day.
The bathroom is modern with a good shower. The only negative I can think of is the quality of the pillows, VERY hard and often Sabina is not physically at the hotel making it a problem if you need something immediately although she is always available by phone.
I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast for anyone wanting a reasonably priced, well appointed, and fairly conveniently located hotel in Venice. We walked to the Rialto, Saint Mark's Square and took the water bus to other locations. Great little secret place.

Perfect location for venice about 10-15mins walk from train/coach station .5mins walk from the rialto bridge 10-15 mins walk from st.marco square.Would recommend you take a wheeled suit case and buy a good coloured map.Sabina at the desk very helpful.Only thing i would have liked would have been tea and coffee facilities in the room

The hotel was well priced and located. It was however a distance from the Vaperetto stop so be prepared if you have a lot of luggage. The directions were not complex and we managed to find the hotel straight away. The room quality was generally good. Nicely decorated Venetian style. However, the room we stayed in does not have a view of the canals but in general we had a good stay in this hotel. Sabina was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend it.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Venice. Ca'Bonvicini is a little jewel: small, intimate and quiet yet within a short walking distance of the Grand Canal, shops and restaurants. The beautifully decorated rooms are just as described. We received a warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. I have already recommended Ca'Bonvicini to all my colleagues and would definitely stay there again on a future visit to Venice.
