the staff in the restaurant were fabulous. They were helpful, friendly and patient. This did not however match the dememour of the lady at reception who checked us out - she was somewaht surly and did not even say thanks or respond when we said goodbye.

The facilities here are super. We had one or two unusual requests but the reception staff were spot on " No problem" really did mean no problem, and requests were dealt with immediately and cheerfully.

Stayed at the Spa Resort for our wedding anniversary for 2 nights. The food in the restaurant was very good just a shame the service was a bit slow despite there being lots of staff and not many diners. The first night our room was very noisy from the people in the room above as we could hear every footstep. We requested to move room the following day and were told this was possible and our luggage would be transfered up to our new room whilst we were out for the day. OUr new room was fine however luggage wasn't transferred and took 2 hours to be located. We felt overall the service at the hotel wasn't as sharp as it should have been and would chose to stay elsewhere when visiting Arran.
