SUNOTEL ASTON

New building located in one of the most important business and shopping areas of Barcelona (Diagonal-Plaza Francesc Macià). It is close to the Fair (Plaza España), the Congress Centre (Palau de Congresos de Cataluña), the railway station (Sants Estació) and the Ramblas. It is perfectly connected with the principal motorways and the airport. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The guests have the main fashion shops, restaurants and Clubs a few metres away, in Diagonal street. The hotel has 80 rooms, all completely equipped with wireless, mini-bar, satellite TV, air conditioning, complete bathroom. Amaral coffee shop, 2 meeting rooms, car park and solarium terrace with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a jacuzzi with panoramic view of Montjuic mountain. The guests will enjoy special rates in the off-site gym just opposite the hotel.

FROM AIRPORT: go along Autovia Castelldefels and Gran Via Corts Catalanes, go through España Square, go straight on until you get to Comte Urgell street and turn on the left, go up this street till the corner the Sarriá Avenue and the Paris street.FROM TARRAGONA-LERIDA-MADRID: go along A-2 Motorway and Diagonal Avenue, turn right into Numancia street, go down this street and turn left into Berlin street, go straight on until you get to Paris street and go along this street till the corner the Sarrià Avenue.IF YOU TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT: take the train to Sants Railway Station or take the airport bus and get off at the stop in the train station (Sants Estació). From the train station you can take Metro Line 5 to the Hospital Clínic stop. Alternatively you can take bus number 32 and get off at the Buenos Aires stop.

    Television didn't work properly and had to ask for staff to fix the safe in the room. They arrived promptly and the safe was fixed. Location of the hotel was perfect - near metro station and walking distance to the main tourist areas. Waldrobe door was also broken.

    A combination of the air conditioning not working in the room and the bed being as hard as stone meant I only managed an hour and a half of sleep.
    Hotel easily accessible by walking from the main train Station in Barcelona.

    Rooms at the front are noisy as they overlook the road. The staff are really helpful ,especially miguel at reception who spoke great english and was very helpful with maps and directions. Room quality was good, and the bathroom/shower was ok.

    The hotel is slightly out of the main tourist area however the metro station is very close. The metro service is very efficient so I would highly recommend using it. The hotel is nice with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna and sunbathing area on the roof.
