The welcome,, and service generally was friendly efficient and very helpful. The room was very comfortable, nicely presented and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The en suite was spotlessly clean but needs to be part of the refurbishment plan. The shower needs to be upgraded. Food was simlpe, unfussy and good, The menu was fairly standard, but used local ingredients and everything was tasty and well cooked. |

This Hotel is idealy situated for access to the central belt, particularly the Edinburgh side, also for striking north towards Perth and on. It will suit those who prefer the feel of an hotel under the control of an owner - driver, rather than corporate bland. the meals which I have had there over the years have been excellent, particularly the breakfast. Free to use WiFi is a big help for me as a business traveller. Something to gripe about does not spring readly to mind. Perhaps the hoteliers could take a close look at the stair carpet.... |

Very friendly warm staff, nice big room, no bath only downside after a long walk but the shower was fine. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Learned they take dogs too, a definite plus for future reference! Would stay again. |
