This was an overnight business stay so served a purpose. I was late arriving due to a delayed flight but was still greeted and booked in with no problem. The room was average for a guest house but was in need of some refurbishment. The bed mattress was in need of replacing as you could feel the outer rim. Shower was leaking and the coffee cups were cracked. It was quite clean but would have benefitted from a major clean everywhere. Breakfast was OK apart from the rolls/bakery items which were singularly wrapped up in cling film and it was hard to tell if they were fresh or not. Not in bad location and on bus route. Probably would not stay again but it did serve my purpose at the time. |

Customer Service was the main highlight of our stay here. We just arrived in Edinburgh and were hoping to check in early. They had to clean the room first, which was fine by us. They then asked if we wanted anything to drink. We didn't want to bother them anymore, but after insisting, we agreed to some hot chocolate. Not only did we get some wonderful hot chocolate, but different rolls and sweets! The only complaint I had about the room was that the beds were a bit firm, but that is the only complaint. Everything else about this place was wonderful! |

The food was very good, but there was no bacon in cooked breakfast. Because of different language there was aslight hiccup as an omelet was asked for and we got scrambled eggs, and I would have prefered to have had the choice of a small biscuit with tea or coffee. Place was very, bed very comfortable.Farther awawy from the city centre than it states, but a nice walk. Buses outside the door and the hotel has numbers of buses to get. No comments book. |
