Hotel was easy to get to and had good secure car parking around the back that was locked at night. Although beware as if you have a large car it may not be possible to get through the coach arch to the car park. The hotel had a country traditional style - everything was a little tired looking and could do with a refurb. Food was very good - we had lunch before departing to the wedding we were going to, I had the chowder and fishcake both of which were very tasty, and the sandwiches were well presented and generous portion sizes. Our bedroom was small and sparsely furnished, there was a flat screen TV but it was a little out of place. Staff were friendly and service was good. |

Hotel rooms were quite basic and small, the bathroom or shower room was tiny, think the Hotel is in need of a total makeover, especially the breakfast room, the breakfast was the usual, we found the cold buffet table to be quite sparse, not a great selection of cereals, fruit etc,, however our meal in Ducks Restaurant was superb, the only complaint was the carved jersey potatoes which were a bit undercooked, our meal in the Bar on the second night was delicious. Mr Duck himself was very friendly as were the staff. It is well situated for some lovely walks, we would go back. |
