Built in the 1820's, the Invicta Hotel is an elegant Georgian Building that has been modernised to a high standard.Situated near the famous Plymouth Hoe, the hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the City Centre, historical barbican and many other local attractions.Partner's Resataurant has recently been accredited with a Blue Ribbon Dining Award for its menu inspired and produced using local and seasonal produce. The Invicta Hotel is entirely non-smoking although there are cigarette bins outside.

From M5 take the Devon Expresway to A38 to Plymouth.Come off at Marshmills roundabout, follow the signs to City Centre A374.At the first major roundabout, filter left and follow the signs to Hoe & Barbican, continue in the left hand lane.Just after the second set of traffic lights filter left towards the Hoe & Barbican.Turn left at the mini roundabout. The road bends sharply, follow round into Notte Street.At the fourth set of traffic lights turn left into Lockyer Street.Follow the road up to the crossroads and you will see the Invicta Hotel on the corner to your right.Car parking is to the rear of the hotel.

Car parking a bonus in this part of Plymouth. A solid hotel for the price. Breakfast good.

This hotel is a good hotel. We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms have been freshly decorated and are a reasonable size. The decor in the public rooms is a little dated but this is due to be updated. It is ideally situated - just a stone's throw from the Hoe. The food is excellent and good value. I would definitely stay there again
