Take junction 36 and follow the A590. Just through Newby Bridge there is a stretch of dual carriageway which ends with a sharp bend to the left. A few hundred yards along the straight that follows, the Whitewater Hotel and Lakeland Village is the turning on the right.

Very pretty spot. Luxury room overlooking river was excellent and huge with relaxing spa bath. Leisure facilities good and very family friendly. We ate in restuarant where food was good and service likewise. The wine list is small but interesting and good value. |
