Developed and extended from a comfortable Olde Inn. The lion hotel is situated on the edge of the village green, in the heart of this unspoilt seadide town, and has magnificent views of the mountains, castle and sea.The hotel is fully licenced and offers a varied and lively entertainment programme. Superb base for exploring both Snowdonia and Llyn Peninsula, both areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfasts were very good, plenty of choice with excellent service. Had one evening meal off the a la carte menu which was excellent and good value. Lounge bar was lively and friendly. The only minor negative was the small size of the rooms in the Castle Cottages, but this doesn't detract from the overall value.

The hotel was clean & comfortable. It was situated conveniently close to shops & beach and within short walking distance to restaurants.

Old fashioned and in need of a decor update. Staff hard working but their approach a bit mechanical.

The hotel was clean and comftable and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good, hot and enjoyable and quite varied in choice.
The hotel is ideally situated and very easy to get to with a residence carpark in the rear. Easy reach for all the main requirements in the high street and just a short walk to the beach.
