The hotel was very accessible and close to Keswick. The proprietors were helpful and welcoming. The room, although small was very clean (as was all the linen) and adequate for our stay. The ensuite facilities were small and rather dated and the shower only able to set to VERY hot! The main bathroom was in need of refurbishment ( tired decor, no towels, light shade etc.). The hotel was a very popular place to eat and portions at dinner were quite sufficient for hungry walkers! Organic food was served as far as possible and the price for evening dinner was about average. We would certainly return to Middle Ruddings and recommend it to friends. |

Very nice mannered staff and the food is of a really good quality, although the room we had on the top floor had the central heating water tanks in the cupboard in the bathroom and they were very noisy from 06.30 onwards due to other guests in other rooms running their baths. |

The hotel was easy to find and the staff very friendly, the little mix up over our stay was soon sorted out very efficiently. The food was excellent using all local fresh food, we ate in the restaurant each night and enjoyeed each one. Restaurant was full every n ight which was a good sign. Beware not all rooms have showers. Good location for Helvelyn and scafell pike. |
