Hayesthorpe Hotel

48-52 St. Augustines Avenue, Croydon (near London & Gatwick)

The terrace dining room (where we serve breakfast every morning) overlooks the spacious secluded garden. The Hayesthorpe Hotel is ideally located in quiet surroundings close to the main London - Brighton Road in South Croydon (A235). Croydon Business Centre is only five minutes by car or bus. Central London is 20 minutes by frequent express trains from East Croydon or Sanderstead station arriving at London Victoria. The hotel is ideally located to enjoy the wide range of amenities that Croydon has to offer. There is an extensive shopping area within the Whitgift centre and the newly built Centrale, which house many of the main departmental stores. The Fairfield Hall is South London's premier arts and entertainment centre, presenting musical recitals, orchestral concerts, pop concerts and professional wrestling. The Ashcroft Theatre presents professional plays. The Warner Village cinema complex has seven screens and the newly built Grant's cinema complex has ten screens showing all the latest releases. Numerous restaurants offer many different national cuisines. The National Sports Centre is situated at Crystal Palace.

From Gatwick Airport:Leave the airport going North on M23 towards London. Continue on M23 across M25 followig the signs towards Croydon. M23 becomes A23. Continue on A23 through Coulsdon still following the signs for Croydon. At the Tesco superstore in Purley go straight across the intersection onto the Brighton Road following the signs towards South Croydon. Go 1.4 Miles. After passing two petrol station on the left side of the road (PS Note: the first petrol station is undergoing refurb and you may not see it - an office block called the Capella Court stands opposite this petrol station), take the second turning on the left which is St. Augustines Avenue. Go up the hill 0.2 milees. Hotel is on the right.From M25:Leave M25 at exit 7 and follow A23 and the signs towards Croydon. Continue on A23 through Coulsdon still following the signs for Croydon. At the Tesco superstore in Purley go straight across the intersection onto the Brighton Road following the signs towards South Croydon. Go 1.4 miles. After passing two petrol stations on the left, the second turning on the left is St. Augustines Avenue. Go up the hill 0.2 miles. Hotel is on the right.From Central London:Take A23 to Croydon. When you get to Croydon Airport (no longer in operation) on the Purley Way, turn left at the Hilton hotel into Waddon Way. At the next roundabout, turn right into Pampisford Road. Take the first left into St. Augustines Avenue. The hotel is on the left after bend.

Ithink the price i paid should have included breakfast, and at £8.00 for a full english breakfast you could stay at a much better hotel for similar price
