I don't normally bother with reviews but this hotel did go the extra mile. I booked on my day of arrival and immediately got a phone call to ascertain my time of arrival and whether I wanted dinner that evening. Hotel is off the beaten track but easy to find, only 10 minutes off the A38. Set in lovely grounds, it is an old school, my room was furnished in a contemporary way. Had a great meal in the restaurant, washed down with a nice white wine. Found time to have a full english before departure, lovely. |

Probably one the best hotels we have ever stayed in. No children under 14, which for us was a bonus. Food in the restaurant was outstanding with a very extensive wine list. The evening meal, with drinks, did prove expensive approx £100; but you do get what you pay for! Overall very highly recommended and would definitely stay there again. |
