The privately owned Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa is ideally located just a 5 minute drive from Chester's historic city centre, yet a stone's throw from the border of Wales. This beautiful hotel, set in its own grounds, has 73 superb comfortable bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities.
Within the hotel there are two dining venues from which you can choose. Ciro's Brasserie is a magnificent Mediterranean themed restaurant offering modern European cuisine. On a Sunday we serve a traditional roast carvery luncheon and dinner. Alternatively, you may prefer to relax in Nelson's Bar where you will find a good selection of gastro style bar food and fine traditional ales.
Take time during your stay to step through the doors of Karma Spa where we provide natural, holistic and organic treatments to completely nourish, rebalance and repair the face and body. The resteraunt food was excellent and the service superb. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful in all things. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definately stay here again. My only complaint (and this is very minor) is not having plug in Broadband in the rooms, my works laptop can not use wifi. But this is a common problem in most hotels because they expect everyone to have wifi!

Hotel was very comfortable and friendly, with excellent facilities. The rooms were comfortable and well serviced. We visited as a family and we were very happy with our choice.The breakfast was excellent with very pleasant surroundings in the restuarant. We hope to return for a future visit on our next trip to the Chester area.

My main problem with the hotel was that i had to be moved rooms at midnight during the first night because of excessive noise from the rooms above. It came to light that the room was known for being noisy- so i did question why they put residences in such a room. Spa was amazing, but pricey. The pool area was the highlight of the hotel.

I felt the reception staff booking me in was unfriendly. It smelt like someone had been smoking in our room, the bathroom smelt horribly musty. There was a large stain on the bedspread. When we opened the french doors onto the garden we were faced with rubbish. I paid £120 for the room and I don't feel that it was worth £50. A very disppointing stay at what on arrival looked like a fabulous hotel. quite a let down.
