The Alhambra is a successful hotel owned by a French and Italian family with Portuguese speaking staff. It has 52 bedrooms and is situated in the heart of London's West End. Considered by many as one of the best bed and breakfast hotels in the Kings Cross Area, the hotel is situated within walking distance (100m) from Kings Cross Station,bus stops and St. Pancras Station. The new Eurostar terminal is only about 2 minutes walk from the Hotel. We can proudly say that for over 20 years, customer satisfaction has been our greatest success. Our mission is to provide a clean and comfortable accommodation together with a friendly service at a good value to all our guests. Highly recommended by many international guides such as Guide du Routard, Lonely Planet, Lets Go, Petit Fute. We also offer free wireless service to our guests. Please ask reception for more details. We are only about 100m away ( journey time about 75 min.)From Stanstead Airport: take the train to Liverpool Street Station and then take the undergound to Kings Cross station.Journey total time about 90 min.

The hotel was reasonable value given it was a few weeks before Christmas and everywhere seemed booked up. Room was clean, staff were friendly, the breakfast room was excellent-bright ad airy, good service, great English breakfast.
However, our room was tiny, barely enough room for the bed and a wardrobe, and only one shower and toilet for the whole floor is shocking, particularly as the shower gets dirty quickly and there is not even any dry space to hang your clothes and get changed so you either run through the corridor in a towel or let them get wet in the spray/on the floor. Therefore there was no way the hotel was worth £70/night.

I didnt realise it's shared bathrooms - for that reason I wouldn't stay here again; apart from that however its ok - you get what you pay for and it is a cheap (for London) hotel......at least its clean
