We did not in fact stay at Wisteria Lodge because they wer ovrebooked. The hotel rang our contact number in London to advise us of this and offered us alternative accommodation at the same price but in a superior room in their associated hotel, Beeches, so the comments above relate to the Beeches, not Wisteria Lodge. The hotel was delightful and the only reason we might not stay again is that it would normally be out of our price range. We greatly appreciated their helpfulness in offering the alternative and enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed overnight at Wisteria Lodge in August 2007 and found the hotel easily. We were upgraded on arrival to a suite which was spacious, clean, comfortable and well furnished, although I believe over-priced. There are a limited number of restaraunts in the immediate vicinity so expect to drive or use a taxi. We were not impressed with St Austell so went into Megavissey. Do not expect to get your room before 4.00 pm. A hot & hearty breakfast was served fairly quickly in a comfortable conservatory dining area. Well situated for Eden Project and Gardens of Heligan.
