Cottage Lodge Bed and Breakfast

Cottage Lodge is no ordinary five star Bed and Breakfast. In November 2008 we were finalist for three awards: Best Bed and Breakfast in the South East (Tourism South East), Outstanding Service (Brilliance in Business) and Most Responsible Small Accommodation provider in the World (Telegraph).
This charming 17th Century Cottage Lodge was a hotel until two years ago. But now it is the Best B &B in the New Forest (Guardian 2007). Guests are spoilt for dinner choices with three charming pubs and seven lovely restaurants within ten minutes walk of the front door. Cottage Lodge offers its guests accommodation on a room only basis giving business guests the opportunity to head off for work early in the morning and enjoy breakfast with colleagues. However, if you would like breakfast Cottage Lodge offers a superb locally sourced breakfast for just £7.50 per person from 8.15 - 10am. The rating for B&B's is different to hotels. If you were to compare our rooms to a hotel-rating we would be awarded 2 star for our standard rooms and 3 star for superior rooms. Becoming a Bed and Breakfast means we offer a personal and informal style of service. Check-in is from 9am to 9pm. All rooms are different. Some are new, some are older, some have sloped ceilings. There are a range of different bed size options including Zip and Link. All bedrooms have en-suite, TV, hair dryer, There is free WIFI access in the public rooms and many of the bedrooms. VAT: we have reduced all our prices to accommodate the Chancellors 2.5% but we don't think he went far enough so we have added a further 20% discount on our rates for December 2008 and January 2009. Cottage Lodge is well located in the centre of the thriving village of Brockenhurst. This gives guests all the advantages of having shops, restaurants, cycle hire, horse riding, petrol station and railway station within a few minutes walk. However, it does mean that there is a little village noise around (if you come from London it will seem quiet if you come from the depths of Exmoor it may seem a little noisy). The Victorian village of Brockenhurst is charming and set within the New Forest National Park. Open forest is just a few minutes walk from our front door. We have a small, beamed snug bar where guests are welcomed and with an honesty bar. We have parking at the front of the building.
