accommodation was in windermere itself. very short walk everywhere, perfect location. we used the free leisure facilities to tire out a very excited two year old and they were a pleasant added bonus. the purpose of our trip was to take our daughter on the steam train at lakeside and find snow. while the snow failed us the rest didn`t, the train is a christmas delight and then the hotel fulfilled the weekend . the hotelier`s were very friendly they made our two year old and ourselves very welcome. our stay was only one night and we had no complaints so had very little contact ,we just came and went as we pleased . we saw the couple at breakfast they were very pleasant and made a tasty and very satisfying breakfast |

Fantastic nights stay. Exceeded our expectations and we wished we'd spent every night of our Lake District vacation at Elim Lodge. Great location in Bowness, friendly staff and delicious breakfasts w/ vegetarian options. |

We came as a family group just off the high season so it was uncrowded and pleasant. The hotel is in a convenient location. It is small, but the owners were very friendly and helpful. Room for a family was a bit cramped, but OK for a few days. Probably the best breakfast we had on a 3 week touring holiday around the UK !!! And that's saying something. I would certainly recommend it, and consider it a great value for money B&B. |
