A night stay which was very convienient for the train station and city centre. Very reasonable, nice clean rooms, and you do not have to vacate till midday. We would definately use this hotel again.

We didn't eat at the hotel/ Nice and Quiet, friendly and Warm, just what we need after a day at wet Donington Park.

The first thing I would like to say is the reception staff were very good, efficient ladies. They gave us great directions to the house we were visiting in Littleover which was about 6 miles away. One of the ladies drew us an excellent map - thank you. The biggest shock of all was the charge of £9.50 each for breakfast for myself and my daughter and £7.50 was charged for my 8yrs and 6yrs old grandchildren........which I think is disgusting. There was no reduction for children. The 8yrs old had a bowl of cereal and fruit juice and the 6yrs old had a slice of bacon and two very small mushrooms - £7.50 I feel was a total rip off.
Another thing which I was amazed at was when we asked to stay another night. We checked availability with reception and was told they had quite a few rooms available. The charge would be £65.00 if we did not make the booking over the internet - the internet cost was £40.00. I did not have access to the internet and unfortunately, the elderly relatives I was visiting didn't either. We were told the cost of the room was £65.00 and they wouldn't budge. Now, I would have thought in this day and age of people cost cutting and spending less, that a guest standing at reception was more valuable than someone on the internet....obviously not.
The room was not clean - this being the main reason for not staying again. The vacuum cleaner has been ran over the room but all edges had been forgotten about - we were in room 152. The pull out bed had not been made up. There were only two pillows and when the two extra came they had no pillowcases on them. There was a duvet missing and when it came it also had no cover on it.......Reception were very apologetic and very understanding. They had to suffer many visits from my grandchildren for extra T bags, milk and mugs - no complaints from them.....

Hotel was a nice hotel, but value for money and quality of staff were very poor. The staff couldnt answer my questions about area, or even provide me a map. I had to use sheets for my youngest daughter as they only provided us with one extra duvet- despite them knowing i was arriving with two children. The trouser press adn iron were both broken. And they wanted to charge me more than the price of the room for breakfast!! ridiculous, I would only ever stay here again if i really had nowhere else to go.
