Lovely couple running this establishment. It's a bit of a walk to the City centre but it's a nice walk. We were welcomed and given some light refreshments by a very very friendly couple who were most helpful. We were given a room at the top of the house which was a bit of climb up some narrow stairs; also the room was very small; however, it was very clean and very tidy. Would stay again but would try and get a better room in the house. |

This was the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The owners were really friendly and offered us everything we needed. We even got a cup of tea and some homemade shortbread on our arrival. Excellent. |

We went away to York for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and were made very welcome as soon as we arrived. Martin & Bev are a very friendly couple who obviously take great pride in their business. The room was fitted out to a high standard with plenty of home comforts. Fantastic cooked breakfast, but also a good chice of cereal and fruit etc if you prefer (or both if you're really hungry!) Great local knowledge that they were only too happy to share. We will certainly be returning sometime in the near future! |
