TRAVELLERS REST

Very hospitable couple running the guesthouse, you have your own key so can come and go as you please which is great. Good choice of breakfasts for such a small establishment too. Was more than happy with everything, great value and great location. If I was planning another trip to Stratford I'd definitely stay again.

The boarding house is clean, well - presented and the hosts are friendly and most helpful. The house is warm and welcoming and the accommodation is of a high standard. This could only be improved by the provision of an ashtray or bucket placed outdoors for those who smoke, as I found disposal of the cigarette ends was a minor problem.

A lovely welcome, a great room with plenty of tea and coffee ect, to hand, our breakfasts were brillant and to other guests that were having different from us looked as if they were enjoying thier's too. Room was lovely and clean, and if we were down that way again we would seek it out. Lots of local information in rooms and dining room and by the telephone. Well done for Mr and Mrs Travllers Rest, I'm sorry I have forgotten thier names.

The room and bathroom were both a little small, but clean and new.

John and Cheryl are lovely and helpful hosts. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. I found the stairs were a little difficult as I suffer with arthritis. The B+B is warm and very clean. It was easy to find on the A422 just outside Stratford. We had a gentle 15 minute stroll into the town centre, passing Morrisons supermarket on the way - which came in handy for any additional shopping or meals, as our stay was for bed and breakfast only. Constructive comments: we would have appreciated a better quality sausage with the really good breakfast; also, we have stayed in many B+B's and we would have liked to have paid a slightly lower tarriff than our £195 bill. Never the less, we would not hesitate to stay with John and Cheryl again and we would be more than happy to recommend the Travellers Rest to our friends and relatives.
