The hotel was recommended to me about eight months ago by a friend. Early September was the first opportunity that we had to go. We originally were only going to try the restaurant, but decided to book an overnight stay so that we could have a bottle of wine and enjoy breakfast before driving home. The welcome was very friendly, the (double) room well equipped and very clean, and it would have had a nice view if the weather had not been so atrocious! The highlight of the stay however had to be the food -an excellent selection, cooked and served to perfection. The only minor critisisms would be that the seating in the bar area before entering the restaurant was not very comfortable, and the duvets on the bed appear to have a plastic lining that crackles as you move. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly go again.
