    A lovely old Italian Hotel, in Rome. Lovely room with a nice comfy bed. Nice window over looking the small hotel court yard. Helpful staff offering useful advice. Not to bad a location either.

    A pleasant, comfortable hotel with staff who wished to please. The hotel is located by the Porta Pia, by the walls of Rome. The centre is probably a 20 minute walk, but there is a regular bus service within 5 minutes of the hotel. At time of writing a day ticket costs 4 euro and is well worth the expense. Traffic noise can be heard when the windows are open, but muted when closed and only most noticable at morning rush hour. This is not an anonymous chain hotel, but an hotel with character. The staff were all willing to please, gave advice on places to visit etc and arranged taxi transfers to and from the airport at a reasonable rate. The hotel is located in a residential non "tourist trap" area and there are several "local" cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes walk which served excellent food at reasonable prices.
