This only remaining hotel of the 19th century in Brussels is noticeable by the quality of its service and its internal decoration. In fact, the main entrance has been decorated in French renaissance style, the reception hall in Empire style, some rooms in Art Deco style.
In April 2002, the Council of Monuments and Sites of Region of Brussels-Capital has protected the Métropole Hotel's façade as well as the ground floor.
The Metropole Hotel is marvelously well located right in the historical centre of the European capital, just a few steps away from the "Grand-Place", the "Bourse" and the "Theatre de la Monnaie" and close to the city's most exciting shopping thoroughfare of Brussels.
The Hotel Metropole features 298 rooms (incl. 15 spacious suites), 10 venue rooms & the Metropole Executive Center (incl 12 meeting rooms, a lounge and relax area and a business center) accommodating up to 500 persons, a gastronomic restaurant "L'Alban Chambon", a bar "Le 19ième", a breakfast room "Le Jardin Indien", a business center and a fitness room.

Excellent hotel. Would thoroughly recommend. The staff are the smartest, most helpful and friendly I have ever come across. The hotel ground floor rooms are absolutely stunning and redolent of a bygone age but with modern first class srvice.

The room was not very clean - for example, opened and partly eaten sweets had been left in the room from previous guests. Very good service in the cafe, but the breakfast was not of sufficiently high standard for this type of hotel.
