Upon arrival to the hotel, 1st impressions were good from the outside. Once we got to reception, we were told that we were lucky to have a room even though it had been reserved. We had booked a twin room but got a room with 1 double bed which was more like an oversized single. Not ideal. Also when booking the hotel there was no mention of the building site next to the hotel that started up at 6.30am! Very annoying. |

On arrival the receptionist announced that the hotel was full. A room was booked for me at another hotel nearby. An incovenience but the receptionist was polite and gave me clear directions to the other hotel which was located within 100m. The other hotel 'Briziani' was fine. I've answered 'Yes' to 'Would you stay again?' because it is located conveniently between the centre and the main train station. I'd try again if the price were right! |

The staff, what can i say, the customer service was APPALLING. I arrived at the hotel and they told me my new credit card was declined and my booking was abandoned, the receptionist then preceded to offer me a room for double the price that i had paid on the net. My transaction was accepted on the net so if it was declined in the hotel why didn't they contact me. The man then told me i could look elsewhere but i won't find anything cheaper(in a very snappy voice). As it was a bank holiday I was forced to pay, I paid in cash and it was only when I was checking out of the hotel I saw a sign that said the credit card machine was out of service. It was an OUTRAGE! Also the man showed me the declined receipt and on it was a total of €49, when the room was in fact €40 on the net. He showed me other receipts and all said €49. "We do this with everyone", he said, "when it's accepted we then charge €40." For that reason alone I will never recommend this hotel or visit it ever again. I have had no problem with the hotel building itself, the room was actually quite nice, but only worth €40. |
