Few hotels in the Western Highlands have such a long & distinguished history as The Argyll. Designed in 1750 by the famous builder John Adam. The Argyll formed part of the total rebuilding of Inveraray commissioned by the third Duke of Argyll. The interior of The Argyll reflects its history & the elegant style of its renowed creator.

room wasn't ready on arrival very disapointed to walk into a used room not very profecional

I was disappointed on my room I booked a superior room but the room I was allocated I am sure was only a double
The room was approx 10feet sq which left little room to walk around the furniture the bathroom was approx 5 feet sq with a vanity,corner shower and wc with a approx area 2ft 6ins by 3ft to stand in around these facilities. The views of loch fyne were stunning as advertised. I expected a large double room with room to move about the space between the dressing table and bed was only passible if you went sidewards.

the room we stayed in was supposed to be superior with a loch view it actually had one small window,the bathroom ceiling was covered in mould above the bath in the morning thier was a silver fish on the bathroom floor.
the evening was to be spent in the bar but due to the service or rather lack of service we went to the george for the evening.
breakfast was very poor ser
bvice having to wait around to be seated no plates out for us to put our buffet breakfast on no sauces were available and as for the lack of staff we gave up and left.r

Had executive room. Lovely view and fab 4 poster bed (a bit squeasky though!!)
No Scottish kippers at breakfast which was a shame.
