We only stayed one night but it was lovely and relaxing. Helpful, friendly staff, clean, smart (standard) room . Good shower. Perfect distance from city centre, just enough to stretch your legs but not too far after visiting all the brilliant real ale pubs scattered about. (You should check out the local Odeon too, must be the oldest, quaintest cinema building in the world). If we had one minor grumble it must be about the poor selection and lack of variety of drinks in the lounge bar. The local pubs more than make up for it. Will be first choice if we ever go back to Salisbury. |

The staff were very friendly and my ground floor room was very pleasant although a secure, opening window would have been welcome. My visit was during a hot spell and there did not appear to be any air conditioning as a fan was provided. Unfortunately, it was in the wardrobe and not found until day 2 of my visit. Friends in the older part of the hotel had the same problem and also felt that their room was of lower standard than anticipated. |

We found the hotel staff at the reception very helpful and kind. The hotel is situated at a very short distance from the town centre and it was safe to walk back at night. We did left behind some items of clothing in our room and they were promptly dispatched to us witout any fuss. A lovely friendly place, we shall stay again.. and very good value too!! |
