The Racquet Club

Hargreaves Building 5 Chapel Street, Liverpool

We are an intimate and friendly hotel with 8 bedrooms and 3 apartments. Frank the resident Jack Russel helps the team to really look after you so that you feel at home. It is a quirky Georgian building with a modern twist & a moose head. Our restaurant serves both light snacks and great a la carte. We have a civil ceremony license and can host weddings, parties and events for over 200. We have gym and squash courts to work it all off! We are 5 minutes walk from the shopping centre & bars and close to the pier head and Albert Docks.

In my experience it is always of high quality. Good wine list as well and good food in restaurant. Interesting terrier.

We had initially booked one of the apartments however, we had to be moved because the room had not been cleaned or the bed changed which was a pretty poor show really. However, the staff were very apologetic and immediately made amends by checking us into a room within the hotel itself. The staff are friendly and the hotel itself full of character. It would have been nice to have the breakfast menu displayed somewhere with details in the room itself. We would stay here again but, it would not be our first choice I think it is fair to say and certainly not at the full price.

Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of everything. Tall ceiling and Victorian details mixed with modern touch. Memorable.
