We eat in the hotel taking one of the selections from their Autumn menu. Excellent quality and service. Room was good but remember to bring your internet cable with the laptop, wireless only available in public area. Arrived late and left early but wonderful location if a bit out of the way.

Beautiful accommodation. Welcoming staff and the stay was great. The food was fantastic and the Hall and grounds were breathtaking. We will definately we booking to stay at Longhirst Hall again.

Our room had poor decor, lots of scuffs on the wallpaper. What looked like a damp patch on the ceiling (possibly where there had been damp or a leak) on the ceiling near the window, yellowish colour.
Also as soon as we entered the room we noticed an unpleasant smell, possibly from the bathroom which didn't go away during our stay.
Also there was a couple of hairs in the bath so we were loathe to use it and a dead moth on the floor next to the door stopper in the bathroom!
We were very disappointed as we had booked the hotel as a special treat for my partners 40th birthday. I would however stay again if we were in a superior/upgraded room.
