The hotel itself could have been warmer but the food, friendliness of the staff and the fantastic location and views more than made up for it |

Pleasant hotel - did not eat there but try the Bayview bar a few hundred yards away for beautiful seafood! |

The setting for the hotel is excellent, overlooking Donegal Bay and the scenery in the surrounding area is stunning. The town of Dungloe was very disappointing. It was looking quite run down and a number of the business (bar, hotel etc.) were closed or for sale. For a 3 * hotel I thought it was quite expensive compared to similar properties we have stayed around both North and Southern Ireland. The most off putting part of our visit was the number of drunken youths in the hotel on the Sunday afternoon and evening. They seemed to take over part of the bar / restaurant area. While we were having our evening meal they were very loud , cursing and shouting at each other. Very little effort was made to quieten them as they seemed to be form the area. This was the pattern for the rest of the evening when the entertainment started. Late on, until after midnight, they congregated around the reception area and we actually felt quite threatened at one stage. I don't think I would stay here again. |

This Hotel has a very noisy heating system which wakes you at 6am. The staff say there is nothing they can do, so a relaxing weekend break cannot be found at this establishment. The food was very good and plenty of it. However the Hotel needs a general clean, stairs to pool area very dirty, grounds and guttering of hotel need a good clean, rooms are clean, first room we got had a cracked wash basin and the WC didn't flush properly. We chamged rooms because of the heating noise but the next room was just as noisy at six am when the heating came on. I would NOT recommend this hotel, unless you are well equipped with heavy ear plugs. |

On a wet and windy weekend, it was very cosy. The music both evenings was appreciated. |
