Judging from the crowds in the restaurant as soon as it opened for breakfast at 0730 there were lots of business travellers in that day. It would have been better for me (and I suspect for everyone else breakfasting at that time) if it could have started at 0700. |

The hotel breakfast offered a good range of low fat products which other more expensive hotels do not offer. The room was cramped with not much outlook. |

My room was fine, nice and quiet but everything else about the place was a shambles. Booked for 3 nights. Overbooking meant I was sent elsewhere on the first night returning here for the 2 remaining nights. My room, in a building in the grounds, was excellent apart from the tv ( v poor reception). Had dinner the first night. Awful food and poor service. Didn't bother the second night. Breakfast on the morning of departure was chaos. No fruit juice, no coffee, no toast, breakfast plates the size of sandwich plates, no milk for cereals....a complete and utter shambles. No-one on reception to check out until 8.05, I was due at work at 8. Externally the car park is too small. A public bar is part of the building, the front step was covered in empty and discarded glasses and the step was covered in cigarette ends. It looked disgusting. |

No problems - hotel room very clean & airey, nice view over well kept garden, swimming pool small but good enough, no lockers - leave valuables in room. We stayed via late rooms discount so I would say it was value for price paid (£90 per double room B&B). All staff friendly & eficient. Good situation for touring south Lakes - hotel not to blame for rain....that's why they have Lakes. |
