Room was tiny and food was ok.
Very handy and convenient and very very warm..a little too warm.

Customer service from hotel staff was brilliant, I was alone for the night and even though there were only men behind the reception counter I didn't feel intimidated as sometimes that can happen. All staff were poliet, friendly and really helpful.
Cleanliness in the reception and bar was brilliant, however my room was a little dirty. Seeing as I only paid £40-ish so it was bearable!
The room wasn't great but what could you expect for £40!? The bed had a plastic cover over the matress which was unconfortable and there was only a cotton sheet for covering yourself with - not great for December time. The room was small, bathroom compact. One problem I had was lack of power sockets, I didn't have enough to have the TV (inc digi-box) and kettle on at the same time. Also the telephones wires where dangling which again, weren't great. There was limited room for putting things on surfaces, perhaps a bed-side table would have been appropriate and that way the telephone could sit on there instead of on the window sill?
I also concerned with the lock on the door. Whilst you do need a key to enter the room, there is no secondary lock to ensure that if someone who has a key cannot enter if, for instance, I was in the shower. I would have felt safer if there was a lock but thankfully no situation arose where I would have needed one.
Decor was very dated and scruffy, but again, I only paid £40!!! They did charge me extra for using my card to pay, but I was aware of this as it said in my documentation that this will happen.
Overall, not a bad stay and you get what you pay for. Definately not worth any more then the £40 I paid for the night. Didn't try the breakfast so cannot comment.

Good value for money and a great location. Providing you're realistic in your expectations for this price of hotel you'll enjoy your stay. If you're looking for luxury you should be paying more for a hotel. I'd go back.
