Wynnstay Hotel

43 Church Street, Oswestry

The Wynnstay Hotel was a well known Coaching Inn on both the route from Liverpool to Cardiff and from London to Holyhead. There are references dating back to 1727, but the existing building is typical of the Georgian Style, and there have been many alterations and additions over the years.
The Hotel, has been sympathetically renovated over the past two years, extending the function suite to 200 people and converting the old stable block at the rear of the hotel to a luxurious Health and fitness club with indoor pool, sauna, jet spa Jacuzzi, steam room and three purpose built treatment rooms.

My wife accompnied me this time on business. I have stayed at this hotel on previous business trips and apart from the rooms looking a little tired our stay was very pleasant indeed, as usual. The hotel enjoys a super location and is just a short walk from the town centre.
The only minor thing is the lack of double glazing in the bedrooms, other than that we would certainly stay there again.

health and leisure facilities were exellent but hotel was bit old fashoned and very noisy ! would need ear plugs next time

very small room , the bed was not very comfortable, the breakfast was dissapointing ( no beans or mushrooms ) the pool and sauna ect was brilliant , would probably use this hotel again if it was a bigger room, but generally the Best Western Hotels are alway good
