Hotel well placed for access to city centre. Located on main road so traffic noise may be an issue for some. Staff helpful. Room decor charming. Hotel undergoing some modernisation but we were not disturbed by work. |

when we arrived i thought it looked beutifull from the outside, and expected it to be all grand on the inside, but the hall was a shambles, although i know they have been going through a renovation. the bar is lovely and the food is really good, no complaints there ! the only thing i would complain about is the size of the room, it was really small and quite jam packed with all of our things, (we only stayed one night) but it was a pleasant room with everything we needed in it, but not for the costraphobic. there was no numbers left readily available in the room to let us know how to contact the reception so we had to use our mobiles, and you can hear every slight thing outside because they are single pane windows, and the doors let in and out allot of noise so we were frequently checking ourselves when we thought we were talking too loud because the rooms we were in were bundled together with another two doors to other room directly outside our room. we had a pleasant stay though and would reccomend this to people just looking for one nights stay accross from murrayfield. |

Pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. Useful for my group, as we'd come to Edinburgh for a couple of ice hockey games (the rink is 2 mins walk across the road). Short bus or taxi ride away from the city centre. Hotel was very reasonably priced, but still very clean. Would definitely recommend to others! |
