Hotel itself was nicely refurbished with nice bedding/pillows, great flat-screen tv on the wall and excellent bathroom. However I would never stay here again as they seem to host a number of 'functions', last Friday's was the Medical School's Leaving Do. The decibel level of the music was horrendous. I had read previous guests complaints about the noise and shrugged them off, BUT they were not eggsagerated. To be fair, when we phoned to ask, reception said it would stop at 12.30, and it did. But the guests staying at the hotel had no consideration for anybody else and we had constant screaming, laughing and banging of doors until well past 2.30am.
We had to be up at 6.30am, and were not amused. Following morning , when the receptionist asked if we'd had a good stay, I could only smile wanly! If they needed to ask.........

Modern room with all you needed, small but OK for a one night stay. Good baekfast, great sausages.

The staff were pleasant and the hotel looked newly refurbished, very modern and classy but the 'double executive' room was rather small and cramped. Apart from that all was well except that due to a wedding all the restaurant and food facilities were closed, this was a bit inconvenient as we had planned to eat in but there were plenty of nice restaurants just 5 mins down the road. Room service was also very difficult to get hold of and after many unanswered calls at 4am we were required to physically go down to the lobby to get a response. This ruined my partner's night but he was given a free orange juice to compensate! All in all, nearly but not quite and for the price I wouldn't recommend too highly.

We were very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the information made available in your courier file. Very pleasantly situated from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet within five minutes reach of the main tourist attractions. I shall certainly recommend this hotel. Thankyou.
