The hotel is basically a guest house with a modern renovation and some clever marketing. On the positive side, the location is handy for the town centre, the front and the pier. Also, the room was clearly recently renovated, modern and clean. On the downside, there was scaffolding, the patio that was advertised was flooded, the shower didn't drain properly and the TV only had one channel - it was as if the accommodation was 'work in progress' and not quite finished. It is not very family friendly as you have to park in a yard round the back and then walk some distance around the street to enter the hotel through the front. In common with the classic terraced guest house, the accommodation is also narrow and the stairs - rather like the room rates - are steep. |

Easy to find, and parking wasn't a problem. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room (four poster bed) was compact but more than adequate. Comfy bed, nicely presented. Brekfast was good. |

The hotel was very accomodating in regard to our requirement to leave bikes secured, and the room set-up was perfect for us with a young family |
