I was informed of a cabaret on the Saturday night prior to booking to enable us to change hotels if necessary. The hotel is very close to a motorway, but the double glazing is exceptional and no traffic noise whatever could be heard.

The quality of the food and the service for dinner was to say the least really quite appaling. This is a shame as the hotel has a really good setting and layout although overall it does look somewhat tired and dated and could do with being refurbished and something done about the restaurant as it does nothing to attract you to to it.
So overall I was very disappointed especially after sitting outside for an hour in the early evening thinking just how pleasant it all was.

The hotel has definitely seen better days. Service couldn't be faulted, but I didn't like the empty beer cans lying around outside. The room was ok, but the bedsheets and pillows were anything but crisp. If I didn't know better, I'd say somebody had slept in the room and the sheets had not been changed. I would stay here again for convenience only, as there are better hotels in the area for similar money.
